🚨 Combating Human Trafficking in Texas 🚨 I was proud to joint author HB 742 & HB 754, strengthening how we identify and respond to trafficking: ✔️ Train first responders and healthcare staff to spot signs of trafficking ✔️ Require clear signage in healthcare facilities ✔️ Protect employees from retaliation when reporting suspected trafficking ✔️ Turn everyday interactions into opportunities to help victims We also supported laws to screen foster kids early (HB 451), close legal loopholes (HB 2761), strengthen penalties (HB 1778, HB 2306), support survivors (HB 3745), and protect their voices (SB 835). Ending human trafficking takes prevention, accountability, and survivor support—every step of the way. #EndHumanTrafficking #CollinCounty #PublicSafety #HD70
