Let’s be honest: public schools are under attack—from voucher schemes, political censorship and book bans, and unfunded mandates that push great educators out of the classroom. As ATPE Region 10 Legislator of the Year, my focus remains clear: fully funded classrooms; competitive pay & real retention; strong special education services; safe, supportive campuses—public dollars stay in public schools. #HD70

📢 BIG VOTING RIGHTS UPDATE Today, a federal court blocked Texas from using the new, racially gerrymandered congressional map in the 2026 midterms and ordered the state to keep the 2021 district lines in place while the case goes to the Supreme Court. Texans didn’t ask for mid-decade redistricting – the Trump White House did. This ruling is a major victory for fair representation and for the communities whose voices were threatened by this map.
